Acrylics Information.
Full Set Arcylic (Natural/French)Full Set Acrylic Nails - Adds strength and length, good for clients that have difficulty growing their own natural nails.
The natural nail is prepared, after which we apply a natural or French White tip which will be attached at the free edge of nail by small amount of glue. This tip will be cut and shaped as requested. A powder and liquid acrylic ratio will be applied over the natural nail and tip to create the overlay and this will set over a short amount of time.
The acrylic will then be filed over with an electric file, giving the enhancement a smooth finish. The enhancement will be concluded with a permanenet gloss application to protect and seal the acrylic and leave a high shine until infill appointment.
Allow 1 hour for treatment.
Enhancements will last 2-3 weeks without infill.
Full Set of Acrylics with Glitter/Crushed Shell
Full set with glitter/crushed shell - Same procedure with full set natural or Fench, incorporating nail art which can be applied under the acrylic for permanent design, or under finishing gloss allowing the design to be changed at infill appointment.
Art includes glitter, crushed shell,rhinestones,dries flowers and piercings with various jewels.
Allow 1 hour 30 minutes for treatment.
Enhancements will last 2-3 weeks without infill.
Acrylic Infills
Infills - Maintenance of a full set application needed at 2-3 week intervals.
The acrylic applied at full set application will have grown away from the cuticle area and will be buffed down to disguise growth.
The natural nail in this margin is then prepared again for gel or acrlic to be applied. The product is applied and the enahncement is then finished as when applying a full set.
Allow 1 hour for treatment.
An infill can be carried out as often as client requests at 2-3 week intervals.
Acrylic Backfills
Backfills - Maintenance of a full set application of any pink and white product application acrylic, at 3-4 week intervals.
As with the product moving away from the cuticle area, the white tip or acrylic applied at the free edge will also move away from the natural smile line and will need to be applied again to disguise growth.
We will make a groove in the acrylic above the natural nail with an electric file and fill it with white acrylic to disguise natural nail growth, before carrying out the infill procedure.
The enhancement is then finished as when applying a full set.
Allow 1 hour 30 mins for treatment.
A backfill can be carried out any time the natural nail growth is visible, usually every 3-4 weeks.
Acrylic Overlay's
Overlays - Adds strength to clients own natural nail (without adding any length) allowing them to grow without breaking.
The natural nail is prepared and shaped as client requests.
The product is then applied over the whole natural nail and finished as when applying a full set.
Allow 45 minutes for treatment.
Overlays also need to be infilled at 2-3 week intervals.
Acrylic Removals
Acrylic Removal - Clients can request removal of acrylic if their own natural nails have grown to desirable length and they wish to then proceed with manicures, or if they request a new set of enhancements. Acrylic is a porous product therefore can be soaked off using heated acetone.
Firstly we will file off the permanent gloss, we will then place hot water inside the soak off bowl and fill domes with acetone, allowing the client to rest their fingers in the solution for 15 minute intervals before removing their hands to have the softened product removed with the electric file, this will be continued until the acrylic has been removed properly. The treatment will conclude with a protein hardener being applied.
Alllow 45 minutes for treatment.
Acrylic Removals With Treatments
Removals will conclude with a full manicure treatment.
Allow 1 hour for treatment.
